With Thanksgiving nearly here, I've got my book basket filled and overflowing with some of our most favorite seasonal living books. Some of these are about the first Thanksgiving that took place 400 years ago and the rest are about how Americans have celebrated the day ever since. Many of the titles are thoughtful. Others are silly. But they are all treasured family favorites that my kids and I have enjoyed for years.
Want to peek into our book basket? Of course, you do.
Here's a list of our 30 most favorite Thanksgiving-themed books. Be sure to read all the way to the end to download a printable list of the entire collection.

Once a month I email a book list to the members of the Biblio-files. Additionally, each quarter, I send out a printable themed booklist just like this one. Every title on each list has been personally read and vetted by me and has been compiled by age range in order to help you navigate the library with your kids. In addition, I also include a few books that you should be aware of--books that contain explicit language, sexual agenda, graphic violence, etc. so that you can make an educated decision when/if your kids should ever be interested in reading any of them. What's more, members are invited to join me in a private Facebook group where we help each other find just the right books for our kids. We'd love to have you join us!
Yay! I'm always looking for more Thanksgiving books! One of our family favorites that you don't have listed is "The Thanksgiving Door" by Debby Atwell. Just have the tissues ready. ;)
