Abstract Self-Portrait Art Tutorial

Here's me!...or at least the abstract-y, arty me.  

And have you met my two oldest kiddos?!

This year, I am attempting to incorporate a few more-extensive art projects into our days to help build persistence and patience along with creativity.  This simple spin on a self-portrait made for a perfect art project with which to start our year.  Although it took us two whole art sessions to complete, the easy collage-style provided a painless introduction to long-term art lessons.
